woyww - painting white

After a leisurely lunch with RosA I have come back to finish the white flower exercise.  Following the steps from Anna Mason's online watercolour school has really helped me understand what is involved.  The pic is in shadow as we have landed up with a very overcast day.
Whenever I have lunch with RosA I always come home with goodies.  Look at these gorgeous papers, dies and stamped tissue paper and a beautiful card from Shaz in OZ.  Always lovely to spend time with a like minded friend and share our bounty.
Join me in a woyww hop to lots of inspiring desks.

  5. Wow...white on white...that's tricky....I guess you must be contrasting on the shadows to bring the flower forward off the paper? Impressive stuff!
I love meeting up with crafty friends...what a lovely haul you've got there. I couldn't get past the sparkly turquoise, I'm afraid. What a magpie :-)

  9. Hi Sandra, I imagine the painting in white to be a very difficult thing to master- it's all about light and shade, I suppose. Lovely stash, it's nice to meet up with crafting friends. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #7 xxx

  21. I love what you are doing with your watercolours.I have just bought some, and am doing some cards. On-line classes are fabulous aren't they? I am learning so much, and seeing and hearing the teacher's voice makes it special! I'm a new follower too.

  22. Lovely. Watercolours are not my thing, mostly cause I'm rubbish at it, too delicate and subtle for ME LOL, but I can imagine white is hard to accomplish. It is such fun to craft with friends, isn't it? Why I love WOYWW - it feel like we are all crafting together!

    late ... again!

  24. White on white sounds really difficult. Good for you that you dare tackle that! The flower is looking lovely already.
I'm just reading the titles of your fav books. Many of them are my fav too, like The Elegance of the hedgehog, The KiteRunner, Hunger Games, The Conjuror's Bird and the Millennium Trilogy. It seems we have the same taste, so I should check out the ones I haven't read....
    Thanks for visiting earlier,
